KIS is a truly diverse community both in terms of ethnic diversity and also socio-economic diverse backgrounds that our students come from. This makes our school a unique melting point of diverse experiences and perspectives. To ensure the representation of outstanding students from all backgrounds, we offer generous scholarships. Your donations can help us sustain our efforts and expand our scholarship reach to cover a wider set of deserving candidates.

Our scholarships have enabled numerous students to access top avenues of higher education internationally and have given them the platform to achieve their potential as socially committed leaders and changemakers in different walks of life.

Some of our named scholarships are generously bestowed by the members of our alumni community. You can either contribute to an existing scholarship or name a scholarship. If you wish to name a scholarship, kindly contact our Development Officer.

According to our vision, KIS strives to be a school the world needs. It is through engagement with the community and concern for its well-being that we are able to make a positive difference and model the school vision for our students.  

During the pandemic years, Kodaikanal was severely impacted by the COVID 19 related lockdowns. The school responded in many ways, including food distribution efforts over the first crucial months of the lockdown, the purchase of equipment and supplies for Van Allen hospital and the local government hospital, large-scale educational projects for local school children, job training programs for young adults and several other short, and long-term initiatives. We are proud of the fact that KIS students were instrumental in our efforts, organizing campaigns for local causes.

Each year KIS students initiate and run various community-based projects as part of their SEED and CAS projects.
