The KIS Art Scholarship

The KIS Art Scholarship is specifically tailored for a student with a profound passion for Visual Arts who wished to join KIS in grade 11. This scholarship is designed to honor and recognize the exceptional talent and dedication of a student pursuing excellence in Art while studying at KIS. It serves not only as a financial support but also as an encouragement for students intending to further their education in Visual Arts at the undergraduate level.

This scholarship is founded in loving memory of Eleanor Banner Bilimoria by her daughter, Ms. Katherine Wilcox, a proud alumna from the Class of 1961. Eleanor Banner Bilimoria, an Art teacher at KIS during the 1950s, left an indelible mark on the community with her passion for teaching and her dedication to nurturing creativity among her students. Through this scholarship, her legacy continues to inspire and shape future generations of artists at KIS.

Criterion for granting the KIS Art Scholarship

  • The scholarship will be granted to a Grade 11 student with a passion for Visual Arts
  • The student must undertake Visual Arts as a Higher-Level subject for Grade 11-12 IBDP program
  • The student must present a strong intent to pursue Art as a major for their undergraduate study
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a family income that is not sufficient to cover all education-related expenses at KIS.

Amount Awarded

  • This scholarship is an award of INR 6,50,000 each year only towards annual tuition fees for a student entering KIS in 11, supporting them until graduation.
