125th Scholarship Campaign

For 125 years, our school has opened doors of opportunity for young people with the curiosity to learn, the courage to dream, and the commitment to make a positive difference in the world. As we celebrate this milestone year, we honour the generations of students, educators, and supporters who built a community rooted in excellence, compassion, and service.

In 2026, we invite you to help us carry this legacy forward through our Scholarship Campaign, ensuring that deserving students, regardless of their financial circumstances, have access to a transformative education. Guided by the belief that tomorrow starts today, this campaign focuses on expanding scholarship support so that the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and change-makers can thrive.

Your contribution doesn’t just fund tuition; it fuels potential. It strengthens our commitment to equity. And it ensures that, for the next 125 years and beyond, our community remains a place where talent and promise meet opportunity.

Join us in shaping tomorrow, today.

How to Donate

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does it seem difficult for non-Indian citizens (including PIO and OCI card holders) to make a donation to KIS?

As an institution authorised to receive foreign contributions, KIS must comply with the Indian government’s Foreign Contributions Regulation Act (FCRA). This legislation requires that all donations from non-Indian citizens, including PIO and OCI card holders, be sent only via bank-to-bank transfer or cheque to a designated State Bank of India FCRA account.

Online payment services and international payment platforms cannot be used for this purpose, and cheques may take several weeks to clear.

If you are a foreign donor, please use the designated FCRA account details provided on our giving page, ensuring that the account name is written exactly as listed.

Cheques must include the purpose of the donation and be mailed to:

How much am I expected to give?

We value your participation above all else.

We invite each member of the KIS community to contribute annually at a level that is personally meaningful. Every contribution, large or small, moves us closer to ensuring that bright, deserving students can thrive at KIS.

Why does a gift of ANY size matter?

Every gift is a vote of confidence in KIS and in the next 125 years of learning, leadership, and global citizenship. Collective giving has a powerful impact, small gifts come together to help fund scholarships, strengthen programmes, and support transformational student experiences. Your participation inspires others and reinforces the strength of the worldwide KIS community.

Can I include KIS in my will or other financial plans?

Yes. Planned gifts help secure the long-term future of KIS and ensure that future generations benefit from the same opportunities that shaped today’s alumni.

Our Development team can provide information on bequests, legacy giving, or other long-term arrangements.

Can KIS receive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding?

Yes. KIS is registered to receive CSR contributions under India’s Companies Act.

We welcome partnerships with companies that want to support education, sustainability, community development, or student scholarships. If your company is exploring CSR opportunities, please contact us at development@kis.in

Can I designate my gift?

Yes. You may direct your contribution to specific priorities, such as:

  • Scholarships and financial aid
  • Programme development (arts, environment, service learning, etc.)
  • Campus development
  • Unrestricted giving (used where needed most)

Unrestricted gifts give the school the flexibility to respond quickly to emerging needs and opportunities, especially meaningful during this 125th year.

I’m not sure which fund to support. Which is most helpful to KIS?

All giving areas strengthen our mission, but unrestricted gifts are the most flexible and immediately impactful. They allow KIS to allocate funds where they are needed most, ensuring we can continue offering a world-class, holistic education.

Who is invited to give to KIS?

Everyone who is part of the KIS story, alumni, parents, former parents, staff, board members, and friends, is invited to support our mission. Your generosity helps sustain and grow the school’s legacy of learning and leadership.

Can I make my gift over a period of time?

Yes. Monthly or recurring gifts are a meaningful way to support KIS while spreading your contribution throughout the year. Recurring gifts can be modified or cancelled at any time.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Indian citizens may receive tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act for gifts made directly to KIS.

Foreign donors (including PIO and OCI card holders) may give directly via our FCRA account; tax benefits depend on the laws of their home country.

Does KIS rely on fundraising?

Yes. Like leading international schools worldwide, KIS depends on philanthropic support to expand access, build innovative programmes, and maintain excellence. Tuition covers only part of the true cost of a KIS education; gifts ensure our school remains future-ready while honouring 125 years of legacy.
