CEH manages all waste generated within KIS in order to reduce landfill load and maximize composting and recycling. CEH also collaborates with other departments within KIS to improve waste management practices in student and staff residences, kitchens and classrooms.
CEH has established a strong network of 23 schools that now offer environmental education to their students through Ecoclubs. CEH reaches up to 5000 students annually through outreach sessions, field trips, assemblies, and inter-school competitions.
A collaboration with a 2022 National Geographic Explorer to create hyper-realistic sculptures of 12 endemic birds and their habitats, while offering birdwatching and art workshops to Ecoclub students at KIS and in our partner schools.
