Scholarships
For over seven decades, KIS was sustained by the generosity of global churches, diplomatic agencies, and international organizations, making a self-funded education the exception rather than the rule. As our community evolved in the 1970s, more families began funding their own children’s education.
Yet, our core ethos never shifted. To preserve the rich demographic diversity and global perspectives that define KIS, we remain deeply committed to welcoming exceptional students who might otherwise be priced out of a holistic education. We are seeking young people of outstanding character-leaders, artists, athletes, thinkers, and change-makers dedicated to community service. Through our financial aid and merit-cum-need-based scholarships, we aim to bridge the gap for families with limited resources, ensuring that promise, not financial circumstance, determines a student’s path at KIS.

Kodaikanal International School (KIS) is offering the following scholarships. Please review the eligibility criteria for each award carefully.

Scholarship Continuation & Conditions
- Scholarships are subject to annual review of academic and character performance.
- Recipients must maintain the required GPA for their scholarship.
- Serious disciplinary issues may result in immediate termination.
- Students not meeting requirements will receive a warning letter at semester’s end. Scholarships may be reinstated if performance improves the following semester.
