Student Accommodation at KIS

KIS is a coeducational Christian international boarding school with around 600 students. 0ver 467 are currently full time residents.

In many ways the KIS dormitory or 'dorm' is the nerve center of student life. KIS puts a lot of time, effort and energy into making dorms 'a home away from home'. Student dorms are friendly, comfortable, well furnished and conducive to private study.

KIS has 18 dormitories distributed as

  • 6 High School dorms for boys
  • 7 High School dorms for girls
  • 2 Middle School dorms, one for boys and one for girls
  • 1 Middle School dorm for boys shared with HS boys
  • 2 Elementary School dorms, one for boys and one for girls

KIS Middle and High School boys' dorms are off campus within short walking distance from the main academic campus, Highclerc. Middle and High School girls' dorms are all located on Highclerc Campus. KIS Elementary School dorms are all on Ganga Campus along with the Elementary School.

Each dorm caters for approximately 25 to 35 students in studio bedrooms for 2 - 4 students. All dorms are equipped with kitchen facilities and indoor recreational areas. Television, computer and wireless internet access are also provided. Most dorms have an outside court / leisure area as well. Laundry services, evening snacks and dorm treats are provided to each dorm.

Each dormitory also contains a residential apartment for the dorm parent(s) who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of their respective facilities to the Maintenance department through the Dean of Students.
