KIS is a personal school and cares for all its individual members as integral parts of its global community. Prospective parents are no exception. KIS is a Christian, coeducational, independent, multicultural, international IB boarding school of 600 students that runs American and international curricula in parallel throughout its 3 sections, Elementary, Middle and High Schools. For over 105 years, KIS has been developing global citizens who care about each other and their world.
KIS school year runs from mid July to the end of May the following calendar year. It consists of 2 semesters of 18 weeks, completing the required 180 instructional days. Each semester is broken by a 'long weekend' which provide fully supervised options for students who are unable to leave KIS for any reason.
KIS is academically selective and admissions are open throughout the year to suitable candidates at all grade levels. KIS is currently expanding its IB intake into grades 6 and 11. Boarding places are open from grade 4 and day students are accepted from Preschool to grade 12.
