KIS Accreditations
KIS accreditation reflects its 100 years in global education as an academically selective school preparing students for entry into colleges and universities around the world.
- Founded in 1901 as an American school for the children of missionaries in South India
- Kodaikanal School's first high school diploma recipient, Tracey Manley, graduated in 1930
- Accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) of Colleges and Schools in 1968, now accredited by both secondary and elementary school divisions (CSS and CES)
- The first IB and international school in India with the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 1976 when it was renamed KIS and the MYP program in 2006
- Recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, Delhi in 1981
